There are two N8VEM S-100 boards:
The S-100 prototyping board is has a 9”x4.5” area of PTH for wire wrap or point to point wiring of prototypes. All pins are exported and includes circuitry for three voltage regulators, +5V, +12V, and -12V. The SCRs are optional and can be modified by the builder as desired. The S-100 prototyping boards are $25 each plus $3 shipping in the US. There are approximately three remaining units on hand. There is a wait list for additional boards if and when demand warrants.

The S-100 backplane is a 6 slot active terminated motherboard for building and/or repairing small S-100 systems. It is primarily intended for benchtop work to repair and/or build boards without risking valuable legacy S-100 chassis. The builder supplies their own power supplies, connectors, and other components. There are links and information available on how to obtain components as needed on the N8VEM wiki. The S-100 prototyping boards are $32 each plus $3 shipping in the US. The S-100 backplane PCBs are currently all sold and in the hands of builders being tested and used. There is a wait list for additional boards if and when demand warrants.

If you are interested please contact me, Andrew Lynch (N8VEM), lynchaj@yahoo.com for more information. There is information available here as well. If you are willing to commit to purchase, I will add your name to the wait list and contact you before making a PCB manufacturing order. For planning purposes, consider the current prices as good estimates. The actual prices may increase or decrease depending on quantity, shipping, and other factors that affect unit cost. These boards are being offered essentially “at cost” and I am only trying to recover the associated manufacturing expenses not time or profit.
Important! Do not send money or any advance orders! They will not be accepted and any funds sent prior to on hand availability of the PCBs will be returned immediately. I will notify you if and when more boards are available and you can order at that time. Those on the waiting list will be given advance notice and priority handling for any PCB delivery in the order in which they were received. Although there is no penalty for non-follow through of an order while being on the waiting list considering this is an amateur non-profit non-commercial community project you are subject to bad karma, a guilty conscience, and damage to your reputation in this rather small community. Please be advised.
I am very interested in additional N8VEM S-100 home brew computing projects. If you would like to join the effort or discuss further please join us on the N8VEM home brew computing project. I would like to make some additional N8VEM S-100 boards like a CPU board, IO board, and SRAM. My plans are rather undefined at the moment but I would like to make an integrated single board computer. Builder ideas on other S-100 related home brew projects are always welcome. I know of at least one small group considering an S-100 home brew project based on the NEC uPD7220 Graphics Display Controller which is currently in the planning phase.

All are welcome to join regardless of skill level. Please review the material on the wiki for background on the intent of the N8VEM home brew computing project. All information on hardware and software design is freely available. In particular, KiCAD EDA CAD part library information for S-100 unique components is available upon request.
Thanks and have a nice day!
